Finely detailed antique Victorian ring (circa 1880s to 1900s), crafted in 18 karat yellow gold.

In the Victorian era, hair jewelry held immense sentimental value and served as a unique and poignant form of remembrance and mourning. The ring has intricately braided hair embedded into the band and around the entire circumference of the ring. Hair jewelry was a deeply personal and intimate memento symbolizing the eternal connection between the living and the departed. The band has a low profile, rising 3mm from the finger (0.11 inches) and sits comfortably on the finger. The ring is a larger size (US 10) and is unfortunately not sizable. The inner band is engraved 'Amalia de Diliz'

The ring is in good condition with patina evident. We have not cleaned the ring in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
