Overview:
Elegant antique Victorian opal & diamond ring (circa 1880s to 1900s) crafted in 9 karat yellow gold.
Natural opal measures 11mm x 7mm (estimated at 1.50 carats). 22 old mine cut diamonds total an estimated 1 carat (estimated at J-K color and SI1-I1 clarity). The opal is in very good condition and free of cracks or chips (some light surface abrasions from wear over the years).
The natural opal exhibits a strong color matrix with flashes of green, orange, yellow, purple and blue (the photos don't do the opal justice!). Set into an oval mount and accented with shimmering old mine cut diamonds, the ring is great worn as a right-hand ring or alternative engagement ring. A classic Victorian ring to love for years to come.
The ring is in very good condition. We have not cleaned it in order to preserve patina and collector value.
